Purchase Agreement

BUYER AGREES:
  1. To have puppy examined within two weeks of purchase by a licensed veterinarian to validate this guarantee.

  2. The puppy is not being purchased for resale and will never be sold to a pet shop, puppy mill or agent of same.

  3. To provide regular vet exams and continue all required puppy vaccines (generally 9, 12, & 15 weeks) and annual care as recommended by their vet.  
  4. To provide adequate care as well as shelter from the elements. Buyer will have a fenced yard or access to outdoor areas for adequate exercise. Dog will NEVER be left on a chain.
  5. The value of the pet for the purpose of this guarantee is solely the original purchase price of the pet, and does not include any additional prices declared by the buyer, such as value of show dog or shipping fees.
  6. This agreement shall be deemed and consummated in the county of Elbert, Colorado and shall be governed by the laws of the state of Colorado.


BREEDER AGREES:

  1. Breeder guarantees that puppy has had proper care to date of release to buyer. Puppy has received first shots and de-worming. Shot records will be furnished at time of purchase. Breeder is not responsible if puppy contracts a communicable disease after leaving breeder's possession.

  2. Breeder guarantees puppy against any congenital defect until one year of age. Due to all the genetic and environmental factors involved, we cannot guarantee that your puppy will be without hereditary defects. We have done our best to avoid passing on any undesirable trait by having both parents health tested and free of undesirable genetic characteristics. If the puppy should develop any hereditary conditions before the puppy's first birthday, we will either replace the puppy of equal value at the breeders convenience or buyer will keep the puppy and breeder will refund half the purchase price. The puppy must have testing done by your veterinarian to confirm a diagnosis.

  3. Again although we have done our best to breed for color, size and temperament, Breeder cannot guarantee color, size, championship ability, or temperament, and is not responsible for any vet or training expenses after the puppy has left our premises.
     

To be covered by this guarantee, the following conditions need to apply:

  1. Puppy must be owned by original owner named in this agreement.

  2. We hope that you will enjoy your puppy for years to come. We have taken steps to ensure that your new puppy is healthy by feeding it a premium food throughout his or her life.  We highly recommend a high quality food. It is very important that your Golden be kept on a proper diet. Buyer’s puppy has been raised on a high quality food and it is provided at pick up to each new owner.   Please note: providing a higher nutritious valued food helps provide proper growth. Buyer acknowledges and affirms that Breeder has recommended, for the benefit of the puppy, certain brands of product/s; however the use of this product/s is merely a recommendation from Breeder, not a guarantee of their effectiveness or efficiency.

LIMITATIONS OF GUARANTEE:
This guarantee is non-transferable. The puppy must be in good physical condition. No replacement will be given if dog has been bred. A licensed veterinarian must do laboratory verifications; the breeder is not responsible for veterinarian expenses incurred on puppy after he/she has left our care. The buyer/owner is responsible for transportation costs to and from the breeder.

THE FOLLOWING WILL VOID ALL GUARANTEES:

 

  1. Allowing your dog to become obese or underfed at any time- Ideal Body Condition: Can feel and see outline of ribs. Dog has waist when viewed from above. Belly is tucked when viewed from the side. Underfed: Ribs are highly visible. Overfed: Dog has no waist when viewed from above. Belly is rounded when viewed from the side.

  2. Evidence of neglect, abuse or previous trauma (broken bones, related injuries, etc.)

  3. Dog has been bred.
